1. Nike Basketball Freestyle Commercial (2000)
Nike has been at the forefront of anything and everything cutting-edge. However, back in 2000, Nike took a minimalistic approach to what would become one of their most transcendant commercials of all-time. With a subdued background, various Nike basketball athletes are captured freestyle dribbling, while coupled with a Neptunes’ beat and the now-iconic “squeaking sneaker” sound. This commercial was so popular that it was parodied in various shows and films, most notably Scary Movie 2.
