ESPN's Darren Rovell has done his due diligence to report the most detailed update on the current situation regarding Kevin Durant and the future of his sneaker line. As most of you know, Durant's deal with Nike recently expired, with Under Armour making an offer to KD worth between $265 and $285 Million over 10 years. Atop of that, the deal is also said to include a community center built in Durant's mother's name as well as stock incentives in the company. KD's recent visit to UA headquarters, as well as the possible perks of his stock incentives, were described as such:
The Puma Suede Angora “Ribbon Red” avoids the pragmatic positioning assigned to the silo back in the day, flipping the script on the cardboard...
Minimalism might be at the forefront of the current fashion climate, but that certainly wasn't the case in the '90s. The adidas Temper Run boasts a busy design that almost reads trail by today's standards, showcasing every line and all the depth in a Beige/Red-Blue colorway. White mesh proves a timeless catalyst on the base, dulled down by beige suede overlays and grey branding, then brightened back up by blue suede accents, black leather trim and red mesh lining. More crew socks and dad jeans than no-shows and joggers, the retro and risky adidas Temper Run Beige/Red-Blue is available now at Mate.
Greg Street is a true OG in the sneaker game. The ATL DJ proves that game recognizes game, as the Three Stripes have gifted him with an exclusive pair of the adidas Stan Smith. This miadidas makeup is totally lux, relying on an all-white upper with snakeskin facade, backed by pony hair contrast on the heel detailing. Keep it locked to Nice Kicks for more Greg Street exclusives from adidas.
Forewarning, we're not against low-top Nike SB Dunks. We actually really like them. However, rather than give iconic SBs the retro treatment in OG form, Swoosh Skateboarding has switched things up by bringing back favorites from the past decade in updated, high top form. Not a bad idea-- the nostalgia remains while Day 1 coppers, collectors and auction winners retain the uniqueness, foresight and value of their prized possessions.
Following the surprise release of the Diamond Supply Co. x Nike SB Dunk High and recent reveal of the "Cali" Nike SB Dunk High, we're pretty sure we spot a trend. Right or wrong, we've already started our wish list based on our high hopes. Here are 16 classic Nike SB Dunk Lows we want to see revamped and released in high top form.
Will there be another "Royal" Air Jordan 1 re-stock? It appears that time has passed. Less of a take-down and more of a revamp, the Air Jordan 1 KO “Sport Blue” relies on similar shades and color blocking, only slightly shifting the shape and composition. Canvas construction adheres to a rounder silo, amplified by the sum of minor modifications to the midsole and paneling. Artsier than the original but still reliant on the same iconic detailing, survey our images of the Air Jordan 1 KO "Sport Blue" in the photos below to decide if you'll pick up a pair.
Yeah, boi. The Big Sean x adidas Metro Attitude is on the way, with the silo unveiled and previewed for the first time. Following "Detroit Player" and "All-Black" takes on the Pro Model, Sean Don's first collab on the Metro Attitude appears reliant on a black base, gold accents, floral facade on the collar and scaly overlays. The G.O.O.D. Music MC's trademark lion tags the interior of the tongue on this upcoming drop, slated to launch on September 13th.
Earlier this week, Jordan Brand fans were excited upon receiving a surprise look at the "First Championship" Air Jordan 6. While official images were enough to drum up expectations of an official launch, it appears we jumped the gun. According to JB on Twitter, the colorway "was a special project" with no current plans to release. Bummer. Keep it locked to Nice Kicks for any updates on these sweet Air Jordan 6s.
