As Carmelo Anthony bids farewell to basketball, we take a look back at this Kicks on Courts Classic highlighting Melo’s best Air Jordan PEs.

The original story from November 20, 2019, can be found below.

Carmelo Anthony is back in the league.

Over the course of his high school, college, Team USA and NBA career, Melo has racked up one of the most impressive Kicks on Court resumes we’ve ever seen.

Repping Jordan Brand as a prep at Oak Hill Academy and rocking both the Jumpman and the Swoosh in his sole season at Syracuse, the #3 pick for the Nuggets in ’03 ended up being the biggest rookie signing Mike ever made.

Eventually becoming a signature star for Jordan Brand, Carmelo had many models to his name but perhaps more impressively a slew of PEs that only Ray Allen and few others can compete with.

Following return to the NBA with the Blazers, we celebrate Melo and his best Air Jordan PEs for this special installment of Kicks on Court. Enjoy.

+ His Nuggets toned AJ2 with Melo on the back has released twice while his Team USA take has never seen stores

Air Jordan 4

+ The pair was specifically made for Melo and was a gift from Jordan himself as the AJ4 was dedicated to The Redeem Team bringing back golden glory to Team USA basketball

+ The blue, white, and red Air Jordan 4 sported “Laser” vibes making it an elusive PE with its USA Basketball patch on the inner tongue

Air Jordan 7

+ Another Olympic-themed shoe for Melo with more obvious ties to his Jordan Brand affiliation

+ With Melo branding on the heel, the Air Jordan 7 “Melo Olympic” PE is historic for many reasons
