Upon his arrival in Orlando, Penny would boost an already exciting team as his pairing with a youthful Shaquille O’Neal would pose problems for the Eastern Conference. Following his rookie campaign, Penny would put up averages of 20-plus points per game, 7 assists and 4 rebounds over the course of three straight seasons. As Penny’s star began to ascend, so did his sneaker repertoire, as Hardaway would sport various Nike models such as the Air Jordan 9, Nike Air Up and Nike Air Flight One.
