Today we started to review some of our initial concepts by presenting our design briefs and our sketches to our team. It was a good process to go through because it helped us to flush out some of the kinks in our designs and helped to provide some clarity on areas we need to focus on for our first round of refinement. We have also been working as a team between CMF/design to think about different material applications and how that will affect how we sketch our concepts. – UA Team
Today, we met as a Material and Color Design group to review where we’re at in our projects. There was a lot of good feedback and it’s been interesting to see each designer’s approach to their individual brands. For my approach, I’ve decided to create unique graphic applications for each of the footwear designers based on the overall color story, along with their own customers and inspiration. It’s exciting to dig deep into this storytelling and really getting to know the intricacies of what we’re talking about. –Seth Peterson
Today I did 12 different concepts. I really like the style with TPU construction tooling. I think this would help a shooting guard start fast. I will move on the detail tomorrow. – Ako Xiang
This is my project so far with some initial sketches for the bootie and upper designs. The bootie will focus on the attacking and protecting for basketball players. I still have to think about more ideas to refine my designs. – Ako Xiang
