Nice Picks: This Week’s Top Sneaker Releases

February has delighted sneaker heads with a plethora of hot releases. If you’re a fan of Jordan Brand, you likely tried your hand at the ’85 Neutral Grey 1s or the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1s. Alternatively, if you’re a dunk fanatic, three iterations dropped last week to instant sell-outs. However, if you’re like me, you took a L on every sneaker release you tried to manually cop.

Luckily, there are more great releases to come. Through our Nice Picks column, the team here at Nice Kicks has sifted through the noise to find the best releases happening this week. Take a look below and let us know what you think of our list on social media.

6. adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Ash Blue”

Colorway: Ash Blue/Ash Blue/Ash Blue
Style #: GY7657
Release Date: February 27, 2021
Price: $220

The adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Ash Blue” marks the first 350 drop this year, and boy does it not disappoint. Earth and aquatic tones meet across the Primeknit upper, with an “Israfil” style rubber sole encapsulates the Boost material. While I have concluded that the Yeezy market is saturated, this pair brings me back to the days when 350s were all the talk. If you’re not in North America, an “Ash Stone” pair is releasing in Europe and Asia.

5. Nike Cosmic Unity

Style #: DA6725-001
Release Date: February 26, 2021
Price: $150

The latest addition to the Nike Basketball roster, the Cosmic Unity emphasizes responsiveness, control, and durability. The performance hoops sneaker features a Zoom Air Strobel unit and Crater foam, both ensuring an explosive and supportive feel underfoot. Worn by players like Lakers star Anthony Davis and Las Vegas Aces icon A’ja Wilson, the sustainable silhouette is going to prime player in the Basketball world going forward.

4. New Balance 991 Made in the UK 20th Anniversary

Colorway: Moonbeam / Navy
Style #: M991ANI
Release Date: February 26, 2021
Price: $200

When I think of New Balance, the 990-998 series always comes to mind. While not as known as the 990, the 991 silhouette provides minor changes to create a balanced, retro runner. This specific Made in the UK iteration arrives for its first return since 2001, celebrating its 20th anniversary. If you enjoy quality materials and classic sneaker designs, this 991 is sure to be a cop.

3. Clot x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death”

Colorway: Net / Deep Red / Orange Blaze
Style #: DD1870-100
Release Date: February 27, 2021
Price: TBA

The Clot x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death” returns for the first time in 15 years, featuring the polarizing design that made it ever so popular. The duo continues to add design elements that make classic sneakers ever more adventurous, and with this particular sneaker, added a translucent toe box and heel that both feature Chinese symbolisms and text. Out of all the sneakers dropping this week, this is my personal favorite.

2. Air Jordan 4 “Taupe Haze”

Colorway: Taupe Haze/Oil Grey-Off-White-Infrared 23
Style #: DB0732-200
Release Date: February 27, 2021
Price: $200

Reminiscent of the Travis Scott F&F Air Jordan 4 “Olive,” this “Taupe Haze” take on the popular Jordan retro captures the true exquisiteness that the brand has to offer. Earth tones traverse the suede and synthetic upper, while black accents find their way on the tongue, laces, and sole. A colorway that is certain to drive demand, expect these to sell out instantly.

1. READYMADE x Nike Blazer Mid “White”

Colorway: White / Vast Grey / Volt / Total Orange
Style #: CZ3589-100
Release Date: February 27, 2021
Price: $160

The READYMADE x Nike Blazer Mid has already been speculated as one of the top sneakers to release this year, and I’m in no position to argue. READYMADE’s signature camouflage motif strikes the heel and tongue, while a carved out Swoosh extends from the mid-panel to the heel. A jagged, utilitarian outsole completes what is likely the most innovative take on the Blazer silhouette in a long time. While this “White” iteration sticks out, don’t sleep on the “Black” pair.
