Kicks On Court: Is MJ Turning the Bobcats into a Jordan Brand Team? Dec. 4th, ’08

We all know that Michael Jordan is currently a part-owner and Managing Member of Basketball Operations for the Charlotte Bobcats. Judging from our Kicks On Court, it seems the Bobcat players seem to be getting more than just basketball tips from Jordan.

This past summer. D.J. Augustin became the latest player to sign with Jordan Brand; however, some of his teammates have been consistently sporting Jordan sneakers without a contract (as far as we know)! Gerald Wallace has been hooping in Jordan’s every game this year and last night was no exception. He laced up a pair of never-before-seen Jordan 6 Rings that featured the Charlotte Bobcats colorway (White/Blue-Orange). With almost every Jordan Brand member lacing up some 6 Rings lately, could Gerald Wallace be the next with a JB contract? Augustin’s Jumpman Team Pro PEs are expected since he is a JB member, but Bobcats power forward sported a pair as well…without a contract. If you recall, May attended the University of North Carolina, so he has been sporting Jordan’s for a few years now. It remains to be seen if the entire Bobcats roster becomes a part of Jordan Brand.

On another note, LeBron James and the Cavs took on the Knicks again…this time hooping in the Nike Zoom LeBron 6 ‘Hardwood Classics’. Although not quite the caliber of the ‘Big Apples’, this colorway is still one of the best we have seen on LeBron’s latest sneaker.
