It was on this day, October 26th, 30 years ago that the greatest of all time made his NBA debut. Jordan Brand celebrated the day with some social posts of the shoes that Michael Jordan wore in his first game, the Nike Airship, and the caption, “One small step for MJ. One giant leap for the game.”
While the Air Jordan 1 will be remembered by many as MJ’s first shoe, I think it would make for a great sneaker history story to retro the Nike Airship in colors MJ wore. The Air Ship has never been released since its 1984 debut.
