Name: SSGT Dwain Tolbert
Branch: United States Air Force
Years in the Service: 6
Originally From: Chicago, IL
Current Station: Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan

Nice Kicks: Has being in the military helped or hurt your ability to cop the shoes you want?
SSGT Tolbert: I think it has definitely helped. Being in the military helped me with networking around the world. So, if a shoe only releases in certain areas, I will normally know at least one person near there.

Nice Kicks: What is the favorite shoe in your collection?
SSGT Tolbert: The Nike SB “Tiffany” Dunk.

Nice Kicks: What do you attribute your love of sneakers to?
SSGT Tolbert: I think it comes from not being able to buy the shoes I wanted growing up. Once I started making my own money, a majority of it went to shoes.

Nice Kicks: Do you notice a difference in kicks worn in the various places you have been stationed, visited, or people you come in contact with being in the military?
SSGT Tolbert: I was never really into runners until a couple years ago. After meeting one of my friends from New York, I became hooked on the ASICS Gel Lyte III.
