Since the days of Chris Mullin, the St. John’s Red Storm have not churned out the notable prospects that one would think with campus residing in what many consider to be the “Mecca” of basketball. However, back in 1997, St.John’s seemed to have the perfect remedy to attract big-time recruits as it would be one of the three schools to be represented by the Jordan Brand.
With Ron Artest playing for St. John’s during the early stages of the partnership, the mercurial forward would sport the Air Jordan 14 and Jumpman Team One on regular occasions; even rocking mismatch models during a conference matchup during the early 2000s.
