I don’t know, I mean I LOVE shoes, but some of these materials we saw today were suuuper dope!
I’m talking Foamposite materials, Jordan elephant print, color shifts and super premium leathers! The smell alone is enough to make you reconsider your profession!
We even had some guest speakers come in and talk to us about material constructions and introduced us to some dope new fabrics!
I’ve got a bunch of new color ideas that are taking my design to a whole other level! Well, at least I think they will, no color yet!
We should have a materials meeting sometime next week so after THAAAAT maybe I’ll be able to start dropping some color and materials into my shoe!
After the materials class, I finally got to sit down and re-organize my wall. I tell you, if you have a million sketches randomly placed all over the wall it looks like a train wreck. So, I was able to actually sit down and organize my stuff for tomorrow.
Oh what’s tomorrow you ask? It’s a big day! Apparently we’re going to have several industry professionals come out and look at our stuff. Also, fun fact: in summer Fridays are half days at Nike. Soooo what do you do when you have a half day at Nike? You come check out the new talent at Pensole!
