This summer, 30 young students from all the around the world have come together in Portland, Oregon, determined to change the footwear game by embarking in the PENSOLE World Sneaker Championship. Assigned to teams and representing a diverse range of brands, boutiques and major corporations across the industry, they’ve began their journey to design a product that’s ready for retail. These are their stories.

TEAM ADIDAS

Roster: Dexter Sulit, Claudia Lopez, Daniel Raes and Marcus Taylor (CMF)

With every day I get a little more tired but never any less motivated. I stay late and show up early just to make use of every minute at Pensole. I wake up, have some coffee, and no matter if I drop my toast or spill hot coffee on myself, I am still optimistic about the great day ahead. Sometimes I forget to eat because I have too many ideas I need to sketch. There’s a saying that you have to want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe. That is relevant for every student that puts in the work to get into WSC and have been working 17 hour days to make their dream a reality.

Here’s a preview of Dexter’s sand running shoe. And a preview of Claudia’s stair running shoe. And finally my evolution of city running shoe.
