After a nice weekend full with exploration of the city and work, we are back in buisness. It felt like everybody was really excited today, because we knew that we were going to sketch the whole day. I think that almost everyone enjoys sketching, it´s the fun part of being a designer, seeing your ideas come to life on a piece of paper.
After D’Wayne told us the general information for the day, today´s event in sneaker history and a Bruce Lee quote, we got our sketching task: make 12 sketches of different concepts for your shoe. He really pushed the word different and use of imagination.
The rest of the day has been spent sketching and everyone has been working hard. 12 sketches may not sound like much, but it really is. I´m quite happy how my own sketches turned out, they showcase my thoughts and ideas really well. Hopefully D’Wayne feels the same way tomorrow.
All in all today was a good day, a perfect start of the week.
