eBay teams up with designer Nicole McLaughlin yet again to create a capsule in honor of Earth Month. The collection features the Nicole McLaughlin x eBay Vintage Salomon Snow Clog, which will be the first auction from the capsule to go live.
Nicole McLaughlin changed the game with her experimental concept shoes as she advocates for both creativity and sustainability. The capsule highlights the power of upcycling with materials sourced entirely from eBay. Although each item maintains elements of structural integrity and functionality, these are concepts and light usage is recommended due to the nature of vintage and second-hand materials.
For the Vintage Salomon Snow Clog, McLaughlin upgrades the silhouette with a detachable zip pouch, which features her name on the front. Elsewhere, the snow clog has a beige upper with a black stripe that runs down the middle. The spiked outsole is also finished in black, along with the strap that holds down the upcycled pouch.
All proceeds raised from the capsule will be donated to the Or Foundation, an organization that is working at the intersection of environmental justice, education, and fashion development, to identify and manifest alternatives to the dominant model of fashion.
The auction for the Nicole McLaughlin x eBay Vintage Salomon Snow Clog is currently live and closes on Monday, April 11th.
