Celebrating David Robinson‘s birthday, we look back at the two-time NBA Champion’s best sneaker sightings of his entire career, from college to his lifelong tenure with the San Antonio Spurs. After originally failing to gain interest from any major college, The Admiral followed his father’s footsteps and attended the Naval Academy, where he blossomed in his Converse Weapons into an All-American and the first overall pick in the NBA Draft. Finishing out his service over the next two years, Robinson would again don Cons for the USA Basketball Team in the 1987 Pan American Games and ’88 Olympics. Robinson joined the San Antonio Spurs in 1989 and kicked off his historical Nike Basketball run that included some of the brand’s most iconic designs.
