Young Nudy is a star, shining in his own lane. The 24-year old Atlanta rapper built his following through slews of trap-anthems featured in his two Slime Ball mixtapes and has since solidified some high profile relationships along the way. Nudy was recently billed as one of the opening acts for his older cousin, 21 Savage’s Issa Tour, as well as Playboi Carti’s debut North American tour — along side his go-to producer Pi’erre Bourne.

Last week, Nudy made his return to iTunes with his latest mixtape Nudy Land, which boasts an Offset feature and is predominately produced by Pi’erre Bourne.

We caught up with Nudy in Texas to talk about sneakers and got some insight as to which kicks he’s rocking these days in our latest iteration of MY 5.

Nike Air Force 1s

Nudy: I like to stick to one pair — all I really need is my Air Force 1s. I’ve been rocking those since I was a lil’ guy. I saw what A$AP Mob did with their AF1s. They was cool, know what I’m saying, but I like to keep mine fresh. Pi’erre’s the one that’s into his shoes like that. You probably gonna see me wearing the same shoes most the time, I don’t give a fuck! [laughs]

Nudy: These some Piggies, these came from Walmart. I got on some pink piggies! I step on Pigs, I don’t like 12, fuck 12. I step on pigs, I walk on them pigs man. I wish somebody would say something about my piggies man. Ay man, these the piggies man, I’m the only one rockin’ em. Leave that in there, too.

Nike Air Max Plus “Sunset”

Nudy: If I’m not wearing Forces — I’m still wearing Nike. I’ve been wearing Nike since I was a youngin’. I’m always gonna be rocking the Nikes man, new or old. If I like em, I’m gonna buy them.

Nike Air Foamposites

Nudy: I’ve always been into Nikes, like I said you know. I had all the Foamposites — not cause everyone had ’em, I just liked them. I still rock ’em here and there.
