After prominent box-office success, the producers of the Back To The Future trilogy sought notable designer Tinker Hatfield to see if this legendary designer could create a futuristic sneaker for the series’ second installment. Tinker wanted to create a silhouette that mirrored his visions of what he believed a 21st century sneaker would look like. With an reienforced upper, the Nike Air Mag was unveiled during the 1989 theatrical release of Back To The Future 2.
