Last night in his road opener against the Joel Embiid led Sixers, Russell Westbrook did what he wanted. In the victory, the UCLA product was just one assist shy of a triple double as he notched 32 points and 12 rebounds.
But before the game even tipped off, Jordan Brand debuted a clip for his newly released Jordan Westbrook 0.2.
The lighthearted ad is scored by Lil Uzi Vert’s “Do What I Want,” and sees Russ dancing with a few Oklahoma City fans and his brother. The underlying story, though, is the nature of the song and its title. As the record repeats “now I do what I want” over and over, many will assume it’s a sub thrown in Kevin Durant’s direction. For a little context, Russ posted a video on social media shortly after Durant signed with the Warriors dancing to and playing this very song.
