You may recall this Reality Studio x Onitsuka Tiger surfacing on the web in early April. At the time, sources stated that this collaborative effort would release towards the end of 2010; yet, we are now learning that this shoe will hit retailers some time in January. German designer Svejna Specht aka ‘Reality Studio’ has stated that she has been working with Onitsuka Tiger/asics since 2005, and this is only the first joint effort from the two sides that will release next year (she stated that following collaborations will come in July 2011 and December 2011). It features a sleek, high-top construction similar to the Nike Blazer or Vans Sk8-Hi. An off-white, beige colored leather material makes up the majority of the base, while a red inner lining provides a nice, secondary color compliment. Other interesting elements include the tassel design on the midfoot/heel and the gold eyelets at the top of the lacing structure. As stated earlier, this Reality Studio x Onitsuka Tiger will hit retailers in January. View detailed photos below.
