To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the cult classic role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons has teamed up with Converse for a collaborative range comprising the various colorways of the beloved Chuck Taylor All Star and apparel items all paying homage to the game’s iconic characters, including both heroes and villains.
Leading the collection are two Chuck 70 iterations, which are inspired by the first edition illustrations and graphics seen within the core rulebooks of D&D – “Players Handbook,” “Dungeon Master’s Guide,” and “Monster Manual.” Fans can also personalize their footwear designs through Converse By You.
The Dungeons & Dragons x Converse will debut at the Gary Con XVI, a fan event honoring co-creator Gary Gygax, between March 21-24. The collection will be released on April 11 via Converse.com and select retailers. The shoebox has also been transformed into the iconic mimic, a creature introduced in the “Monster Manual” and featured in the hit film, DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Honor Among Thieves.
