The Nike Air Tuned Max is finally getting the proper retro treatment from Nike. For the first time since 1999, the Air Tuned Max is returning.

The runner was polarizing for sneakerheads and Air enthusiasts. However, the model’s disappearance from the market place has led to a highly anticipated retro. The OG colorway, which was adopted by Skepta on his Nike Air Max 97 collaboration, is spearheading the Air Tuned Max’s return.

At an original retail price of $140 and weighing just 11.9 ounces, this model was hailed as the lightest Air Max ever produced by Nike.

Also of note, the Tuned Max used other innovative technology as well including a seamless, one-piece upper composed of a synthetic leather and mesh, Phylon midsole with full-length Tuned Air and a BRS 1000 carbon rubber outsole
