Following the release of the Bricks and Wood collab, comes a familiar New Balance 57/40 “Green.” This sneaker shows major similarities to the Bricks and Wood 57/40, with New Balance practically hitting copy and paste. It seems that this is something we can expect more of from New Balance, as the brand has used a lot of the design elements from their recent collabs as a major reference point for sneakers.
This offering of the 57/40 incorporates all the design elements from the Bricks and Wood 57/40, with the exception of the laces and outsole. The entire upper is made with a green suede and mesh on the toe box. The branding on this 57/40 inverts the colors of the signature New Balance “N” and opts for a darker tone grey. This grey is also featured on the heel tab and insole. The mudguard on the back comes in black and corresponds with the outsole. To complete the sneaker, the extended midsole comes in a monochromatic cream color, rather than the two-tone variation featured on the Bricks and Wood version.
