It’s not even January yet, and PJ Tucker is clearly headed towards being our 2015-2016 Kicks On Court champion.
He’s been wearing an array of exclusives on the hardwood all season long, and earlier this week, pulled out what might be his craziest sneaker yet.
A little background first: During the mid-2000s, when Shawn Marion’s shoe deal with AND1 was just about to expire, Jordan Brand created a few home and away PEs of the Retro V, in an attempt to woo The Matrix to the Jumpman. There’s just a handful of each in existence.
Marion eventually signed with Nike Basketball instead, even leading the straightforwardly named Shox Matrix during his prime as a do-it-all forward for the Phoenix Suns.
PJ Tucker tracked a pair down. And wore them in a game for the Suns. That is incredible.
