As a private school student, finding all-black shoes that are dressy enough for our uniform code – but clean enough to look fresh – is a hard task. My first choice was the all-black patent leather Air Force 1s, but my mom told me that they weren’t dressy enough and that I’d get stuck with a uniform infraction. So as I searched some more, I found the perfect shoe: the Nike SB Stefan Janoski Mid Premium Brogue “Black Wingtips.” I had no idea that I would find them over a year after their release. And the best part? I found them marked down to $30. So as you would think, I picked them up. When I got to school, where all my friends showed up in their PayLess dress shoes, you could expect that I had the nicest kicks in the school.
