Nike Air More Uptempo Black/White

Love at first sight is the only way I could describe how I felt about the Nike Air More Uptempo. Being six years old at the time of the initial release of this sneaker, I dragged my father around the mall looking for them. Every store we visited gave us the same answer: ‘I’m sorry, but we don’t have your size.’ With this being one of the first times I ever had to deal with rejection, I didn’t take it very well. I left the mall in tears and empty handed because I could not settle for any other shoe. That was not the only time the Nike Air More Uptempo eluded me as they made their return in December of 2010. The $160 price tag was a bit steep, so it was either the shoes or gifts for my family. Although I took the unselfish route and chose the latter, I still regret not grabbing a pair of the More Uptempo.
