Yeezy Day 2022 came and went and looks like the relationship between adidas and Kanye West continues to be on rocky ground as Ye stated in an Instagram DM that Yeezy Day was made up by adidas without his approval. He further stated that the colorways that were restocked without his consent then continued to rant about how adidas was stealing his designs and colorways.
That stems from the adidas adilette 22 where Kanye got upset at adidas for dropping a slide that looks like it takes design elements from the Yeezy collection with earth tone colorways as well as MX-inspired marbled colorways. He continues to state that adidas has lied to him about the production of Yeezy Slides and undercut him with the adilette 22 and that Yeezy makes up 68% of all adidas online sales.
