Known for his unique linework, Joshua Vides brings his signature art style to New Balance for a collaborative collection. Raised in Southern California, Vides began as a young graffiti artist who ran throughout the streets of the Inland Empire. Vides’ grayscale approach to turning 3D objects into two-dimensional illusions has allowed him to possess one of the most instantly recognizable art styles in the game. The Joshua Vides x New Balance Collection features a full apparel line, as well as a New Balance 327 and New Balance 57/40.
Staying true to his trademark style, the entire New Balance x Joshua Vides Collection has a grayscale makeup with shades of stark black and bright white. The collaboration features themes of splattered paint, a nod to Vides’ beginnings as a young graffiti artist. The New Balance 57/40 offers Joshua Vides’ classic style, with an all white base and black linework to create a 2D effect. The black lines highlight the silhouette’s structure and signature New Balance “N.” The sneaker is finished with black splattered paint, serving as the inverse for the New Balance 327. The 327 has an all black makeup with an off-white midsole and white splattered paint. Each sneaker has a co-branded tongue that features the New Balance logo and Joshua Vides’ signature.
100 pairs of the Joshua Vides x New Balance Collection will be available exclusively at Matte Black Coffee on November 6th at 9am. The sneakers will also be available on joshuavides.com. After that, a global launch will take place on November 13th via NewBalance.com and Footlocker. The price for the New Balance 327 is $130, while the New Balance 57/40 is $150.
