ebay.comDesigner John Geiger has put a lasting print in the sneaker industry and wants to pass on the love onto emerging creatives so he’s teamed up with Stealboyz on Geiger’s GF-01 which features Stealboyz’s custom dye jobs. Geiger will be releasing a handful of collaborations with under-the-radar creatives and use his platform to put them on over the next few months.
Geiger explains, “Coming up In This industry, I would reach out to designers & brands I looked up to. I would usually not receive replies back or they would give me the runaround. I want to use my platform that I’ve grown over the years to support up-and-coming designers. Even if they have a following already, I learned that a simple co-sign can go a long way. With that being said, I’m eager to announce my collaboration with the @stealboyz, Chris, and Andre James.”
The collaborative effort will feature four different custom-dyed colorways of the GF-01, dropping in Pink, Green, Purple, and Yellow, with the supply being limited to 50 pairs per colorway. The sneakers were stripped down before the dye job and after the dip and air dry, they were meticulously hand distressed then properly reconstructed and sewn with a cross-stitch, returning it back to its original but new form.
