It’s one thing to retire from a profession. It’s another to retire yourself from a respective relationship. However, it’s an entirely different feat to retire yourself from a culture that you may love more than life itself. Well, that’s exactly what Kansas City Royals pitcher and lifelong sneaker addict Jeremy Guthrie did as he self-professed his retirement from the sneaker game. Paying homage to the first retirement of Michael Jordan, Guthrie took time to hold a mock press conference that incorporated all of the bells and whistles that normal announcements of this magnitude warrant. Nonetheless, major props to Jeremy on his incredibly creative announcement of his “retirement”. Hopefully, you can pull a “MJ” and comeback to the game, in due time.
