The brand has announced its latest member with boxer and Euphoria actor Javon “Wanna” Walton, making the 16-year-old the youngest signee for the brand.

The addition is the latest from the Jordan Brand as it continues to add stars to its roster. In the last month, the brand has added UCLA’s Kiki Rice, Houston Rockets’ Josh Christopher, and Orlando Magic’s Paolo Banchero.

Walton, who appeared in the ediotiral campaign for the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Reverse Mocha” earlier this year, is officailly taking flight with the prestigious brand.

“Jordan is the home for me is because it is a symbol of greatness and represents limitless potential,” Walton told Footwear News. “Jordan Brand saw my abilities in the boxing and acting spaces, and saw that I was really trying to do something special and that I am doing something special,” Walton added. “I’m not just out here trying to do what’s normal. I want to make a huge difference in all different aspects and areas in my life. I think that’s why Jordan wanted to sign me.”

Walton mentioned that Reggie Saunders, the brand’s VP of entertainment marketing, made the push for him, given his multiple talents and potential.

The signing of Walton captures the brand’s legacy and future trajectory. With boxers such as Andre Ward and Roy Jones Jr. in the past, the Jumpman’s influence in the ring isn’t new.

Walton looks to carry that torch under a new light.

“Boxing is just what I love, man. That’s been my passion since day one. I live and I breathe boxing, and that’s what kicked off everything in my career,” Walton said.

In addition to becoming a member of the Jumpman, the actor & boxer has been working on his own custom boxing boot.

“The design behind the boot is bringing back that Roy Jones Jr. and Andre Ward look, but with my own special twist to it. Roy Jones Jr. wore it back in the day, and I’m really just bringing it back to life,” he said.

Jordan Brand did not confirm if the boot would eventually see a retail release or if it would be exclusive to Walton, per Footwear News.
