Shabazz Napier will likely be an NBA guard in the near future, but he is already acting like one. Over the weekend, UConn’s leader swapped sneakers at halftime like many of the pros do on a nightly basis. Lacing the new Nike Kobe 9 “Masterpiece” for the entire first half, Napier switched out at the break into his trusty Air Jordan 11 “Playoffs”. Outside of Shabazz’s swap, many notable sneakers were worn on college campuses around the nation. UMass showed out in a wide variety of colorful adidas sneakers, and recently released Air Jordan retros were also prevalent.
