This weekend another set of Air Force Ones in honor of the “Round Mound of Rebounds”. This time around Nike cooked up four pairs of the classic sneakers in colors to pay homage to Barkley’s alma mater Auburn. While suited up in Navy and Orange Charles took two All-SEC Selections and named SEC player of the year in 1984. In honor of his achievements while at Auburn, his jersey, #34, was officially retired by the school.
Two of the Auburn Air Force Ones at the entry level price of $80 use the traditional colors of Auburn, while the Premium low tops ($125) and Supreme mid tops ($200) blend orange and brown. All four pairs have a unique detail of wavy stitching across the side panels and on the toe box of the two higher end models.
