With Martin Luther King Day right around the corner, it is only fitting that a sneaker brand creates a MLK tribute sneaker. As part of its newly-designed Tribute Collection, AND1 will be releasing the ME8 Tribute on January 19, 2009. In addition, this is also Golden State Warriors guard Monta Ellis’s first signature sneaker.
The AND1 ME8 will be released in a special collector’s edition packaging with a metal certificate of authenticity. The sneaker itself will feature a woven label on the back of the tongue with a message from the brand. AND1 has only produced 1929 pair of the ME8 Tribute in honor of Martin Luther King’s birth year. They will retail for $129.99. |
