LeBron James’ presence in Los Angeles has changed a lot where sneakers are concerned. His new Nike LeBron 16 has already released in Lakers colors and he himself has worn PE pairs donning the team’s historic shades.
There’s now news of an Air Jordan 13 “Lakers” scheduled to release later this year.
Images of the upcoming Air Jordan 13 have just surfaced as the shoe is expected in late-July. A gallery of the shoe reveals a predominately white upper matched alongside purple on the mudguard, with black on the midsole, heel and outer. Pops of yellow accent the outsole for the LA treatment.
Given the importance of the Air Jordan 13 in MJ’s legacy, team-specific iterations of his 13th signature could be widely popular. Moreover, with what we already know about the “Knicks” 3s that could be coming this year, 2019 could be an impactful campaign for Jordan Brand celebrating many of Jordan’s rivals throughout his hallmark career.
