Off the news of adidas and Yohji Yamamoto’s Y-3 debuting the Ajatu Run and Qisan Cozy, they’ve added another sneaker to the Y-3 collection called the Y-3 Runner 4D IOW which takes a modular approach to the sneaker.
Dressed in an all-black breathable mesh, the Y-3 Runner 4D IOW uses two options of a low or mid-cut neoprene sock that can be dropped into the sneaker. Y-3 branding is seen on the ankle of the mid-cut sock with the low cut featuring co-branding down the forefoot and the 3 Stripes on the lateral side. More co-branding can be seen on the lateral side of the sneaker with the mesh covering most of the 4D midsole outside of the forefoot area. Continental Tires rubber is used on the outsole and finishes off the avant-garde sneaker.
