Yohji Yamamoto and adidas team up yet again to create the new Y-3 AJATU RUN. Known for his ninja-like aesthetic, Yamamoto is a master at making minimalist design appear larger than life with his sly attention to detail. This time around, Yamamoto brings stealth to a duo of runners including the Y-3 AJATU RUN and the Y-3 QISAN COZY.
The Y-3 AJATU RUN has all the bulky quirks of a classic running shoe, but shows refinement with the rounded midsole. The smooth appearance of the midsole, paired with a single sleek black line, makes the sneaker look sculptural yet sporty. The upper is crafted with a mixture of textiles including layers of suede, mesh, neoprene, and rubber. Finishing details include a lace closure and Y-3 branding on the tongue.
