Thanks to social media, we’ve already gotten several glimpses of Portland Trail Blazers’ star Damian Lillard’s latest signature sneaker with addidas. But today, adidas officially unveiled the adidas Dame 4 in two different colorways – “White:Black:Red” and an all-white iteration with a gum sole called “Legacy.”
Building on previous signature models, the Dame 4 features a full-length BOUNCE cushioning system and a grooved pattern traction outsole that was tailor made for the quick moves Lillard makes on the court. A ventilated mesh upper increases breathability and airflow and supportive lace cables provide a reinforced fit.
The Dame 4 also features a ton of details that pays homage to Lillard’s game, Oakland roots and passion for hip hop. On the outsole, the traction is designed in such a way that it visually resembles a musical waveform. Also, “YKWTII” is displayed on the heel, which is in reference to “Lillard Time” aka whenever the Blazers star shouts “You What Time It Is.” Dame Certified is written in all caps on the sockliner along with his personal motto of “Patience Persistence Purpose.” Other details include dates from Lillard’s signature moments, which are etched across the laces.
The “White:Black:Red” iteration of the adidas Dame 4 will be available online on Wednesday, October 4 at adidas.com for $115 and will hit stores on Friday, October 6. The adidas Dame 4 “Legacy” will officially drop on October 20.
