2015 has been a big year for the re-emergence of notable silhouettes that canvassed retailers during the early 2000s. One model being the Air Jordan 6 Low and the other being the Nike Air Presto, which the latter happens to be the focus of our latest edition of Throwback Thursday.

Detailing the fine history of the eclectic model created by the Hatfield lineage, the details of this line are certainly worth the view as this #TBT is easily one of our favorites to date.

In Context: The Year 2000

Before delving deep into the history of the Nike Air Presto, it’s important to understand the context of the year surrounding its initial release, which was the year 2000. Beginning things, the Y2k scare would send shockwaves throughout the world as plenty believed that an “electronic halt” would mark the beginning of the end; luckily that notion didn’t come to fruition.

In addition, several notable films hit theaters such as Gladiator, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Cast Away. Also, Eminem would release his second LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, which would showcase his rare talents and further propel him into the elite status of Hip-Hop.
