Customs Are Here to Stay

Custom sneakers are not reserved to off-court wear and/or their creator’s Instagram accounts. These 1-of-1s spilled over onto the hardwood in March when Iman Shumpert rocked his Sole Swap custom adidas Real Deals (he wore three more customs after that) and Dwyane Wade laced up a pair of Mache-designed Way of Wades. Yet, customs really took a life of their own on Day 1 of the NBA Playoffs when Nate Robinson, Danny Green, Malcolm Thomas and others all wore never-before-seen creations on court. Look for customs to play a big part in the 2013-2014 NBA season. Individuality plays a big role in the Kicks On Court Champion voting.
