The Portland-based academic institution is a unique educational outlet that was founded by former Jordan Brand designer D’Wayne Edwards to teach students the entire footwear design process and provide the industry with a farm system for the next generation. The championships will take place in NYC at Parsons, one of the most prestigious design schools on the planet, from May 27th to June 20th. To apply for an invitation, submit an original footwear design sketched by hand to PENSOLE by March 30th if you are at least 18 with a year a college under your belt. Tell us if you think you could be the World Sneaker Champion in the feedback box below, and keep Nice Kicks bookmarked for everything sneakers.
