According to trademark filings obtained by Nice Kicks, it seems that plans for YZYSPLY retail stores are in the works.

On June 29, 2022, Ye and his legal team filed paperwork requesting trademark rights for “YZYSPLY.” The documents state that the YZYSPLY trademark will be used for retail stores, online ordering services, and online retail store services. It’s unclear if the upcoming retail stores will sell sneakers or if the stores will focus exclusively on clothing.

If you’ve been a fan of Ye since he was known as Kanye, you know that YeezySupply.com has been the go-to webstore for Yeezy clothing, as well as all the exclusive adidas Yeezy sneakers. Throughout Ye’s history as an entrepreneur and designer, he’s had multiple ventures that overlap throughout the universe that he’s created for himself. Considering that Ye recently struck a deal with Gap, we wouldn’t be surprised if the plans for the YZYSPLY stores are being counseled by the retail giant.

Ye and Gap recently dropped their first assortment of apparel that included hats, hoodies, tees, face masks, and more. While all of the items were hosted on YeezyGap.com, the product info clarified that the apparel was engineered by Balenciaga. This is especially interesting as Balenciaga also recently collaborated with adidas, who has remained a foundational pillar in Ye’s enterprises, despite recent misunderstandings over the adidas Adilette Slide 22 and adiFOM Q.

It feels like Ye is pulling some major strings here and will somehow weave Yeezy, adidas, Gap, and Balenciaga together — seemingly in a way that will balance high fashion and accessibility.
