The upcoming Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 release has everybody salivating for what very well could be one of the most sought out collaborations of all time. Bold statement? Sure.
But it’s not as bold as the all-new Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Jack” from Ceeze. The one of a kind design blends the legend behind one of the most memorable MJ stories along with the highly anticipated collab with La Flame. While we’ve seen a lot of Travis Scott-inspired customs, this one is in a league of its own.
The story of the “Shattered Backboard” shoes and the hype behind them is rooted in nostalgia when Jordan broke the backboard during his exhibition game in Trieste, Italy back in 1985. The hues on his one-game-only jersey paint the shoe and are then repurposed on this custom.
This luxurious custom encompasses only the highest quality of materials ranging from ostrich, an orange iridescent leather which depicts the reflection of Jordan’s jersey as the backboard shattered and even a cracked white suede to symbolize the fragmented glass from he ever so famous dunk.
Not only that, but the inverted Swoosh and the “Wish You Were Here” found on the wings of the shoe embody Travis Scott’s style and mantra’s from his ASTROWORLD success.
