Vault by Vans brings a new original to their lineup. Deemed the Boot Skoot LX, this hybrid sneaker boot takes design inspiration from Vans’ lesser-known surf boots. Despite being popular for their sneakers, Vans also makes surf wear that honors the brand’s Orange County roots.
At first glance, the Boot Skoot LX seems like a sneaker with a futuristic-esque silhouette. As you take a closer look, you’ll start to notice wetsuit materials like neoprene that reveal the boot’s surf-inspired design. The upper is completely laceless, but has a zipper on the heel and a velcro strap to secure around the ankle. The rest of the boot has overlays of leather and rubber, that lend itself to the futuristic surf aesthetic. Finishing details include the Vans signature side stripe and a modernized waffle sole.
