Known for his fearless stick-or-slam skate style, Ben Kadow teams up with Vans to create his very own Vans Skate Classics Sk8-Hi. Based in New York City, Kadow has been a Vans Skate team member since 2018 and is also a part of Hockey Skateboards. Kadow even managed to hold his own in Supreme’s skate film “Blessed.” Earlier this month, Kadow brought his Vans Skate Classics Sk8-Hi to Supreme, where he offered an exclusive pink and black colorway that was only available at Supreme’s flagship locations. Now, Vans and Kadow are offering a wider release with an alternative Fall-ready colorway.
Kadow’s Vans Sk8-Hi has an olive-toned nylon quarter panel that features a quilted spiderweb design. The heel counter, eyestays, and toebox transition to sturdy black suede. The sockliner is made with POPCUSH material for energy return, impact protection, and cushioning. The silhouette is structured with DURACAP underlays and knurled foxing tape for daily skate-sesh durability. To further elevate this Vans Skate Classic, the Sk8-Hi is upgraded with rope laces and a SICKSTICK grip rubber compound outsole for more board feel. Finishing details include Vans’ signature Jazz Stripe, black midsoles, a shatter-print insole, and Kadow’s stylized signature.
The Vans Skate Classics Sk8-Hi by Ben Kadow will be available on October 21, 2021. You’ll be able to purchase these sneakers from select Vans Skate retailers.
