We had a feeling for a while that solid colorups and especially metallics would be a hit this winter, but we had no idea that so many brands would catch on. Vans is the latest to release a pair of solid metallic sneakers that sit at 1st and 2nd atop the medal stand.
Vans brought a metallic gold Sk8-HI and metallic silver Old Skool and played with the tongue of both. The obvious difference from the originals is that the shoe feature a large logo across the tongue, but the shoes were also stuffed with extra padding like Nike did with the SBs. They have released at ABC Mart in Japan for the USD equivalent of $140, but no word yet if they will drop stateside. Pics thanks to HypeBeast.
