Vans California Era Fall 2010

The Vans Authentic is a true classic and exemplifies everything that Vans stands for. In the past, Vans has used a canvas material for most of their Authentic models. However, we’ve seen a variety of different materials and designs for this 1966 classic recently. Earlier this month, we showed you a very uniquely-modeled hemp version of the Authentic, which is a new change to a classic shoe. This summer, the Authentic makes a return in new materials.

In the three pairs slated to release later this summer, it is obvious that Vans took a much more classy approach in deciding colors and materials. Each sneaker in the California Authentic collection utilizes a combination of smooth and textured leather in colorways that include tan/blue, white/red, and black/red. As usual, all three pairs have vulcanized soles with waffle-grip bottoms and metal lace loops.
