Vans will release a couple of new models this year including the Native American Binding and the collaboration with Luke Meier; however, they will also dig into their vault and bring back a few classics as well. In attempt to honor legendary pro skater Tony Alva, Vans will release an Alva Legends pack that includes his original signature sneaker, the Mid Skool ’77; an Era Pro will also be included in this pack. Yet, both sneakers will not be your everyday release. Vans has updated these timeless models with some very nice features. For example, they own recycled gum rubber, water-based adhesives and shoelaces and inner linings comprised of recycled PET (material used in plastic bottles). Look for both sneakers to show up at select Vans retailers on February 1st, 2010. |
