The newly introduced Air Jordan 33 is inspired by spacesuit styling and built off the design ethos of Flight Utility. Introducing the laceless FastFit technology, the model is as modern as ever and most definitely born to fly.

While short shorts and ¾ quarter length tights will dress 2018’s Class of 33 as they take to the court, we wanted to take it back to the early days of flight by shooting the shoe with some of Mike’s most memorable gear from way back.

Styling the shoe with OG Nike Air Jordan Flight sweats circa ’89 and the famous Playground tee retro from the turn of the century, get an on-foot, on-court look at the Air Jordan 33 now in the photos below.

+ Everything Mike did on the NBA hardwood was to inspire kids and grown folks alike on the blacktop. The reprint of the Jordan Playground Tee and Air Jordan 4 era sweats speak to attitude and origin of Flight fashion.

+ Ready for takeoff, the Air Jordan 33 employs same carbon plate speed tooling as the Nike Zoom VaporFly 4% with forefoot Zoom Air providing firm trampoline bounce similar to that of the XX8.

+ Understated for an AJ, the clean facade on the upper allows for patchwork pops and more space to let the tech talk.

+ When it’s all said and done, what the world will remember about the Air Jordan 33 is FastFit. Simple as can be, the band only needs a quick tug for the pinpoint lockdown hoopers have been searching for since the game began.

Pairs have sold out across the web, but Dick’s Sporting Goods happens to have sizes in stock here.
