Culture collides with this first look at the budding Nike Air Presto “Safari” edition. Pairing a ’00s silhouette with a late ’80s pattern, Nike magnifies an era known for its vastly influential creations, while also sustaining an aesthetic in which our culture continually revolves.
Holding court with a baselayer in monochromatic black and white, the color blocked palette intrigues with brown, yellow and grey hues that juxtapose the running silhouette triumphantly.
With a look and feel that brings about thoughts of the 2003 atmos x Nike Air Max 1 collaboration, the similarities here are evident and easily noted. Yet this Nike Air Presto certainly succeeds based on its own individual volition.
