adidas has tapped Disney’s The Little Mermaid for an epic sneaker range that pays homage to the classic film.
Part of The Little Mermaid x adidas range will be an NMD R1 inspired by the sinister pair “Flotsam and Jetsam,” the two eels who served as minions to Ursula the Sea Witch.
The forthcoming The Little Mermaid x adidas NMD R1 “Flotsam and Jetsam” sports a sleek cream colorway throughout its entire construction. Nods to the evil eels can be seen on the fish scale-like heel counter and tag, while the Flotsam and Jetsam graphics are hidden away behind the tongue tab. Rounding out the final design cues are co-branding insoles.
Look for The Little Mermaid x adidas NMD R1 “Flotsam and Jetsam” to release on May 3 via select retailers and adidas.com for $140.
